This Privacy Policy explains how MAK International Trade Ltd (trading as BABA’S Stove UK) (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects and uses your personal information when you use babas.uk or get in touch with us. We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your data in line with UK data protection law (the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018).

When you contact us or register your interest
- Your name and email address (required), and optionally your phone number, town/city, business or venue name, the number of units you’re interested in, and any message you send us.
- Whether you have opted in to receive updates and marketing from us.
When you use our website
- With your consent, analytics information about how you use the site (for example pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type, and your IP address), collected via Google Analytics. See our Cookie Policy.
When you place an order (once we begin selling)
- Your billing and delivery details and order history. Card payments are processed securely by Stripe — we do not see or store your full card details.
3. How we use your information, and our legal basis
- To respond to your enquiry or interest — on the basis of our legitimate interests, and to take steps at your request before entering into a contract.
- To send you updates, launch news and offers — only where you have given your consent. You can withdraw this at any time (see section 8).
- To process and deliver your orders (once selling) — to perform our contract with you.
- To understand and improve our website — on the basis of your consent to analytics cookies.
- To meet legal and accounting obligations — where we are required to by law.
4. Marketing
If you opt in, we’ll email you about our launch, products and offers. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any of our emails, or by emailing us at contact@babas.uk. We will never sell your details or share them for other companies’ marketing.
5. Who we share your information with
We only share your data with trusted service providers who help us run our business, under appropriate contracts:
- Netlify — website hosting and form submissions.
- Google — website analytics (only with your consent).
- Stripe — secure payment processing (once we begin selling).
- Our email provider, where you have opted in to marketing.
We do not sell your personal data to anyone.
6. International transfers
Some of our providers (such as Google) may process data on servers outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as UK “adequacy” decisions or standard contractual clauses) to keep your data protected.
7. How long we keep your information
- Enquiry and interest details: for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry, and a reasonable period afterwards.
- Marketing contacts: until you unsubscribe.
- Order and transaction records: as required by law (typically six years for tax purposes).
8. Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to: access your data; have it corrected or erased; restrict or object to its use; data portability; and to withdraw consent at any time (this won’t affect anything done before you withdrew). To exercise any of these, email us at contact@babas.uk.
